Hope Capital Holdings

Hope Capital Holdings is a small business based in Austin, Texas.

The owner came to me with a simple request: a logo. His primary request was to utilize the iconic 3-6-9 shape, originally theorized by Nikola Tesla.

final logo

The final product features the name of the business alongside the logo symbol.

It also sports a neutral color palette that conveys friendliness and hope.

Process

step 1: sketches

The first step in logo design is always sketching with pencil and paper. This is a good way to get out all of the potential ideas I might have for the logo in a way that doesn’t take too much time or commitment.

step 2: vector drafts

The next step was take the sketches that the client preferred and turn them into digital vector assets. As a way of giving the client multiple options to choose from, I made several versions of the logo.

step 3: slide deck for client

The final step was to compile all I had made into a slide deck to give to the client. The deck would allow him to see my thought process and make a decision based on what I’ve provided.
